The grapes came from vineyards planted in 1974 at an altitude of 185 to 195 meters above sea level. New clones were selected and planted in 1999 for enhancement of more typical fruit flavours.
Deep ruby in colour, complimented with strong blackcurrant, red and blackberry aromas of ripe fruit, perfectly married with a good structure of subtle woody flavours. Together, a balanced and unforgettable long lingering finish. This wine is drinking well now and will age very well in the bottle.
